Orissa overcame a middle-order slump to beat Tripura by two wickets in opening league match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy East Zone One-day Cricket Tournament at Cuttack today. Chasing a target of 200, Orissa lost five wickets for 38 runs to struggle at 158 for seven before an unbeaten 34 by Rakesh Mohanty helped them romp home in 45.4 overs. Bengal rode on S Goswamy’s unbeaten century to crush Jharkhand by seven wickets in another match of the day.
